Taman Impian Jaya Ancol is an object wisata in Jakarta Utara. At 2006, Glorious Dream Garden of Ancol changes name to become Ancol Jakarta Bay City. As tourist area, Taman Impian Jaya Ancol had simply stood since century ke-17. At that time, Dutch Indies Governor General, Adriaan Valckenier, has very beautiful health resort house ashore. Along time journey, the area then rounds into place of tour.
Emerges proposal is that the area is functioned to to become industrial area. But, the suggestion refused to be out of hand by President Soekarno. President Soekarno wish to build the area as tourist resort. Through Decision of President by the end of December 1965, President Sukarno commands to Gubernur DKI Jaya at that time, dr. Soemarno, as development executor of project of Taman Impian Jaya Ancol. Project of this development has just been executed under leader Ali Sadikin which at the time becomes Jakarta Governor. Development of Ancol executed by PD Pembangunan Jaya under leader Ir. Ciputra.
